แน่นอนว่าในโรงงานจะมีเครื่องจักรบางตัวที่ต้องการใช้ลมมาก บางครั้งหากระบบท่อลมของเราไม่ได้มีการปรับปรุงเป็นระยะเวลานาน หรือไม่มีการขยายขนาดท่อ mainline piping ให้เหมาะสม จะส่งผลให้เครื่องจักรเหล่านั้น ทำงานไม่ทันตาม Cycle Time หรือหยุดทำงานได้ เนื่องจากลมตก (Pressure Drop)
หากไม่ต้องการเปลี่ยนขนาดท่อ Mainline Piping ทั้งหมด
เพื่อลดต้นทุนในการผลิต สามารถนำถังลม ไปติดหน้าเครื่องจักรตัวนั้นๆ เพื่อช่วย Buffer ระบบ ทำให้ลมเสถียรขึ้น
ลดการเกิด Pressure Drop ได้
